Devotional Introduction -
This 5-day devotional is for the mornings when the headlines feel heavy and your heart feels unsettled. These pages invite you to slow down, breathe, and remember that God is not surprised by this moment in history. Each day offers a gentle pause - Scripture, reflection, and prayer- to anchor your heart in what cannot be shaken. Be Still. God is working. This devotional is a companion to the blog “Be Still…Even If You’re Side-Eyeing the News (Faith, Fear, and the Headlines).
Day 1- Settle the Fear - I invite you to stop, sit down and remember that God is present and in control-even when the storm feels close.
Day 2-Soften, Don’t Harden - You can stay aware without becoming cold, cynical, or numb.
Day 3- Reframe the Moment- A reminder that God is not reacting-He is revealing.
Day 4- Anchor the Heart-Release what cannot last and grip what will. God’s word becomes the anchor when everything else feels uncertain.
Day 5-Rest, Not Brace- Move yourself from bracing against the storm to resting under God’s covering, learning that Stillness can become a way of life.
“Not everything that happened to you was meant to stay with you. Some things were lessons, not luggage.
Choose what feeds you.
Put the Rest down.”-Mama Wisdom
